Power Isolator
The power isolator is a small, waterproof aluminum-housed device that electrically isolates the Explorer power supply from the source, eliminating interference from other noisy devices. It also regulates Explorer’s power to an even, clean +24VDC – even when working from batteries as low as 9V. Accidentally short the tow cable? No problem. The power isolator automatically shuts down to protect your batteries. Status LEDs let you know the towfish is connected correctly, and when data is received.
Tow Cable
Explorer’s tow cable is made up of four conductors (two for power, two for direct RS232 communications), a kevlar strength member, water block and blue polyurethane jacket. And you can choose the exact length you need, up to 150m.
