Land Sentinel
Program Sentinel once in your office or lab. When you reach your land site, simply drop the unit into its tripod — it will begin acquiring data immediately. No cables to connect. No buttons to push. The tripod’s LEDs let you know that the system is working.
Sub Sea Sentinel
Deploying Sentinel on the bottom of the ocean is just as easy as setting it up on land. Program Sentinel once in your office or lab. When you reach your deployment spot, just drop the unit into its tripod, and lower it to the sea bottom. An attachment point lets you tether a buoy for easy retrieval.
Sentinel will not start acquiring data while on deck. It knows when conditions become quiet enough for measurement, and automatically begins sampling when it is out of your ship’s range.
Deep Sub Sea Sentinel
For extra-deep deployments, Sentinel can be used with an acoustic release system. Tether a buoy to the unit’s top, attach the other end to the release and a disposable anchor, and drop it overboard – no tripod required. When the acoustic release is signaled to detach, Sentinel floats to the surface for easy retrieval.
