The Overhauser Effect
Our Overhauser magnetometers measure nuclear magnetic resonance spectral lines that exhibit excellent accuracy and long-term stability characteristics. Our mags are easy to use, and get you better quality data.
Low Power, High Performance
The maximum output signal of our Overhauser mags does not depend on the amount of energy that is put into the sensor. That means our sensors produce clear and strong signals using only 1-2W of power – something that standard proton sensors just can’t do.
Data Collection – Doubletime
Since polarization power is applied at a frequency that is far out of the bandwidth of the precession signal, our sensors can be polarized in tandem with precession signal measurement. This effectively doubles the amount of information available to you, and gives you faster sampling rates than standard proton mags can.
Noise-free Sensitivity
Our mags have a totally flat noise spectrum. They retain their sensitivity and accuracy in magnetic field variations of any speed – right down to 0.0001 Hz. This is vital for long-term monitoring, and for mapping data that has been collected over long periods of time.
Accurate Anywhere
Don’t let the weather affect your data. Our mags have an extremely high temperature stability, and show less than 0.01nT temperature drift over their entire specified temperature range of -40C to +60C. From the arctic to the tropics, they work in any water instantly, on power-up.
Stable Data. Always.
All of our structural materials, especially those in direct contact with the sensor, are carefully tested to have extremely low magnetic permeability, and are therefore undetectable by the sensor. Your signal stays strong and your data stays stable, with no heading errors or dead zones – regardless of the ambient magnetic field direction.
